This Privacy Policy explains how Luka Sever Sakelšek, operating from Slovenia, European Union, collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use Orbiont. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the app.

We are established in the EU, so no separate EU representative is required. Our lead supervisory authority is the Slovenian Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec).

Information You Provide

• Account details: name, email, password (hashed), and any profile info you add.
• Goals, tasks, notes, and other content you input to track your progress.
• Health & wellness entries you choose to log: sleep times, meals/nutrition, weight, and exercise/workout activity.
• Payment information processed through PayPal — we never see or store your full card/bank details.
• Support requests and other communications you send us.

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage and app analytics: feature usage, session frequency and length, navigation patterns, retention and churn indicators, crash logs, engagement metrics.
• Device and technical data: device type, OS version, app version, language, and device identifiers where applicable.
• We do not intentionally collect precise location or financial account data.

Health & Wellness Data

Orbiont includes optional self-tracking tools for sleep, nutrition, weight, and exercise. Any health-related information you enter is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers, sold, or shared with third parties.

Orbiont is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It is intended for general wellness and self-tracking purposes only.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not rely on this app as a substitute for professional medical care.

If you use the in-app export/backup feature, the exported file (including any health entries) is saved to your device and shared only at your explicit request.

AI-Assisted Features

When you use AI-assisted features, the content you submit is sent to our AI processing provider, Groq, to generate a response. Groq is based in the United States. Where data leaves the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Why We Process Your Data

• Account creation & core app functionality — performance of a contract.
• Subscription payments — performance of a contract.
• Understanding usage patterns & reducing churn — legitimate interest, which you can object to at any time.
• Support requests — legitimate interest / contract.
• Legal & tax records — legal obligation.
• Optional product updates — consent, only if you opt in.

Data Retention

• Account data is kept while your account is active, and deleted or anonymized within 30–90 days of account deletion, unless a longer period is legally required.
• Analytics data is retained in aggregated or pseudonymized form for up to 24 months.
• Payment records are retained as required by Slovenian/EU tax law, typically up to 10 years.

Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

• Supabase — backend, authentication & database hosting
• PayPal — subscription payment processing
• Groq — AI inference for AI-assisted features (US-based)

Each provider is contractually restricted from using your data for its own purposes.

Cookies & Similar Technology

The app may use local storage, device identifiers, or SDK-based analytics to remember your session and measure usage. Where consent is legally required for non-essential tracking, we request it via an in-app prompt.

Children

Orbiont is intended for users 16 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16 — if we discover we have, we delete it promptly.

Your Rights (GDPR)

• Access, rectify, or erase your data.
• Restrict or object to certain processing, including profiling based on legitimate interest.
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
• Lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (www.ip-rs.si) or your local EU authority.

Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
